The Sales Manager is responsible for selling NuSep’s products in the biotech, pharma, and CRO markets, and to achieve designated sales targets. the sales manager should be able to generate leads and identify sales opportunities by penetrating new segments/accounts in the assigned market. He/she should be comfortable cold-calling, and selling to lab scientists and principle investigators or managers. The sales manager must be able to build a territory, close opportunities, and develop a plan to achieve assigned sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new opportunities through cold-calling and penetrating new segments/accounts in the biotech, pharma, and CRO markets
  • Understands broad strategic objectives and contributes to their creation and helps to execute successfully against them
  • Has ability to develop, and communicate sales strategies, territory management, account analysis and call planning to others
  • Demonstrates ability to identify, advance and close new business opportunities by creating and executing a strategic business plan
  • Experience building and maintaining an effective sales pipeline
  • Maintains a high level of product knowledge in protein biology segments
  • Ability to gain consensus and work as part of a team; brings all resources together to successfully develop new business and maintain existing business
  • Clearly communicates technical details with colleagues and customers
  • Recognizes problems and suggests new approaches to solve them
  • Attends trade and vendor shows and meetings as required
  • Direct sales of product to biotech, pharma, and CRO accounts

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the Life Science market or related business area
  • Strong experience in ecommerce
  • Have a science background in advanced biology, prefer Protein biology or similar
  • Proven direct sales performance in the Life Sciences market
  • Ability to build strong networks and successfully manage long term customer relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit high quality product photos
  • Write accurate and detailed item descriptions, price and post items for sale
  • Maintain an accurate online store and physical store inventory system.
  • Assist in packing and handling daily outbound product shipments.
